1. Verify that you have water running to the regulator.
2. Verify that the water pressure is set between 20-30 psi.
3. Remove the metal water tube from the back of the unit (see operating manual for instructions) and check if water tube is clogged with lime buildup. Delime or replace tube.
4. If water tube is clean, hold a small cup over the opening of the fitting on the valve and turn the unit on. When you turn the unit on, the water valve will open and close several times. If water comes out of the valve, recheck the water tube for clogs. If water does not come out, contact your local service representative for service.

1. Verify that correct voltage is being applied to the steamer. The steamer is rated for 220V, but will run on 208V without a problem.
2. Verify that the platen is receiving the correct voltage. Units with a black, double pole relay: The platen voltage may be measured at the output terminals on the relay. The output terminals are the inside terminals with a single blue and a single brown wire connected to them respectively. While the unit is calling for heat (Unit is in Pre-Heat mode, or the Heat Indicator LED in the display is lit), the output voltage should be at least 200 V. If the output voltage is less than 200 V, verify that the relay is receiving proper actuating voltage from the Main Power PCB (See Below). If, the relay is receiving proper voltage, the relay is faulty.
   
   Units with a white, single pole relay: First verify that the relay is closing. The relay has a green indicator light that illuminates when the relay closes. The platen voltage is most easily checked at the platen terminals itself. The platen should receive at least 200 V. If voltage is less than 220V, verify that the relay is working properly, verify actuating voltage from the Main Power PCB (See Below). If relay does not close when the unit is calling for heat, replace relay.
3. Verify that relay is receiving the correct actuating voltage from the Main Power PCB. For units with the black, double pole relay, there is a four wire connector running from the board to the relay. When the unit is calling for heat (Unit is in Pre-Heat mode, or the Heat Indicator LED in the display is lit), measure the output voltage from the board across pins 1 & 2 and pins 3 & 4. Across each set of pins, you should receive at least 5 VDC. If voltage is not present across either set of pins, the main power board may be defective.
4. If the relay is operating correctly, the problem may be in the temperature probe. Disconnect the temperature probe from the main power board and measure the resistance. This probe should have a resistance reading of 1000 Ohms at ambient temperature.
5. If the probe and relay are operating correctly, the problem may with the platen itself. Take a resistance reading at the platen terminals. The platens should have a resistance reading of 15.5 Ohms.
6. If the power board does not send the correct voltage signal to the relay, it should be replaced. If this does not correct the problem, the original power board should be reinstalled and the display (control) board should be replaced.
